 GYBW Programs 


The Growing Young Black Women program,  are workshops to Educate  young Black girls and women from  ages 13 to 19 years old. In this 8 week free workshop  we focus on, Character building, Sexual health information,  Spiritual counsel and Education on Drug Abuse.  During the 8 week program, we will have Certified  speakers from Nurses,  Ministers, Psychologist, and Leaders from Women's organizations, available to give young black women the support they need.  These resources will help young black women have a strong healthy role in their families. At the end of each 8 week GYBW program each attendee will receive a certification at the Graduation ceremony  and many other sponsored gifts. Even though our target is young black women this program can help anyone and all are invited within the age group of 13-19.

 Jaysie Sheppard
​Lead Speaker /CEO

 
Jaysie  Sheppard Bride of Christ and mother of 3.  Jaysie is an Author,  and an Ordained Chaplain Minister.  She has 15 years experience as a Certified educator and Licensed Minister. Jaysie Sheppard currently is an Adjunct Professor at Grand Canyon University in the College of Theology.  Jaysie has her Masters Degree in Biblical Studies and Bachelors Degree in Communication with the Focus of African American Studies. 
Jaysie has Authored two books as well, first  "Slave Mind and Mind of God" that focused on her experiences of "Slave mentality" within African American community.
In her recently Published book "Spiritually Rapid", she targets Young Women to educate them of a life of ownership over their bodies, as a beautiful temple given to them by God.  From her stories and Spiritual guidance , Young women will be encouraged and motivated to believe in building their character from the inside out.

Jaysie Sheppard is the Founder and CEO of the non-profit online Ministry We Rebuild Movement.  That focuses on providing resources to rebuild black families in the United States from hardship since Slavery. She is now  the Host for GYBW Podcast that airs on Youtube Live and Facebook Live once a week.  She is Currently a Business and Education Consultant that focuses on building programs and educational curriculum for the better development of black businesses and Kingdom Diversity in Education. 

Jaysie Sheppard has  retired as Professional Basketball player in 2008 after 7 years overseas and in the WNBA. She is a two time Champion as a Professional Athlete. She was also a Scholar Awarded athlete in her  Alma Mater  University IL  at Chicago and recently nominated as 50 greatest athlete ranked number 8 in 50 years.
